Public Health England (PHE) has advised that people receiving mail and parcels are not at risk of contracting the coronavirus.
From experience with other coronaviruses, we know these viruses don’t survive long on objects like letters or parcels. This complements the highly publicised guidance from PHE for people to wash their hands more often than usual using soap and hot water.
We are actively monitoring this rapidly evolving situation. We take the health and safety of our people very seriously.
We have guided our people, our customers and the communities in which we operate to help prevent the spread of any infection. We are doing so in line with preventative guidance from Public Health England.
Our leaflet distribution and door drops are also not affected at this time.
Signing for and receiving items
We are no longer providing signed-for services until further notice.
What are we doing to help decrease risk
- We have a minimum staff in our mailing house
- Transport is cleaned daily
- Gloves are to be worn when required and changed hourly
- Have no contact with clients & end clients
- Adhere to strict hygiene regulations
Turnaround times
We are working around the clock to ensure we are meeting where possible a 24-hour turnaround on urgent mailings.
